Woodland Baby Shower Details:
This is what Melanie said about styling the party- "My mom, Rhonda, and I love to get creative, plan parties and decorate! She held a Meet & Greet for my son Henry last month and we had a blast setting it up! I love the great outdoors and animals so a woodland theme was perfect! This theme also made it super easy and cost effective to decorate as a lot of the decor is from nature! The pine branches, log chargers and pinecones were gathered from the forest on my parents' property. We purchased moss and wooden tags for the favours from Michaels and made all of the tags ourselves! The adorable woodland cookies and log cakes (Which were chocolate and pumpkin spice with cream cheese frosting) were special ordered from Whisk Bakery and were even more delicious than they looked! We made the caramel apples and added cinnamon sticks for a cute and yummy smelling special touch! Other themed foods we prepared included a cheese ball decorated as a pinecone, "Forest Foliage" (Vegetables and radishes cut to look like mushrooms), "Moose Droppings" (Chocolate Covered Almonds) and Berries with Maple Dip! I set up my Christmas tree to give a cozy forest feel and to provide ambient lighting, and decorated it with pinecones and acorn decorations. Nestled behind it, we set up a deer hunting decoy. We made forest themed snacks as favours for guests to take home which included Wood Chips (square pretzels), Squirrel Feed (celebration mix) and Trail Mix. I hope you enjoy this party as much as we did!"
