Several months ago, I had the privilege to be a part of a baby shower at our church. The ladies of my church are super creative and very talented and put their gifts on display at this Storybook Themed Baby Shower. The mom is an avid reader and so the storybook theme was perfect for her.
Check out some of the really cute ideas.
Starting with the centerpieces…
Each table had a stack of books tied with ribbon and either an opened book or a jar with some goodies in it on top of the stack of books.
The tables had several pieces of gem glass gravel spread around the table.
There were also mints and a fun game waiting for the guests on each table.
The storybook theme carried on through the desserts with these adorable cupcakes. They were topped with little mini children’s book covers.
The covers were printed on card stock and cut down to fit on the cupcakes. They were attached to multicolored toothpicks and inserted in the cupcakes. Cute and simple!
Off to the side of the room, a table was set up with these blocks as the centerpiece.
On the table was this cute little box for prayers, wishes, and advice.
And can you see what the prayers, wishes, and advice is written on?
These darling library cards!

This was such a nice shower. I’m so thankful I got to be a part of it and look forward to snuggling with the precious baby soon!
