Baby Shower Headband Station

Baby Shower Headband Station

Do you sometimes wish you had the perfect idea for an upcoming bundle of joy your sister, friend or neighbor is having? Or, better yet…do you wish you had a fun and creative Baby Shower theme/idea for the shower you are throwing? Today, we are going to solve both of those tiny dilemmas with a fabulously adorable and so, so fun Baby Shower Headband Station. Melanie from Find it, Make it, Love it threw a headband making Baby Shower for her sweet sister-in-law, Steffany, where all the attendees made the most adorable headbands for the sweet baby girl who will soon be making her big debut! Enjoy!

Hi Ribbon Retreat followers! It’s Mel and Steff from Find it, Make it, Love it where we share all kinds of projects from kids crafts to furniture refinishing. We are so excited to be here at The Ribbon Retreat to share this Baby Shower Headband Station!

Steffany is expecting a little girl in April and she thought a headband station would be so fun to have at her baby shower – she was right! Naturally, we turned to The Ribbon Retreat for all the supplies, because they have the BEST stuff for the BEST prices. We had her shower and are so excited to share the headband station with you – it was a HIT!

Here’s what you need:

  • Felt Circles or Squares
  • Hot Glue Gun

Flower Button

Before the baby shower, make all the headbands.

We cut the elastic to 12 inches for each headband.

Use a lighter to singe the ends to prevent any fraying.

Hot glue the ends, and the headband is done!

Also before the shower, cut lots of felt squares and rectangles for the flower clusters to be glued to.

Now for the Headband Station set up!

We placed all the pre-made elastic headbands in a cute basket, and all the felt pieces in a small bowl.

It’s a good idea to include a few completed headbands as examples. Need to know how to make cluster headbands? We found a few great tutorials from The Ribbon Retreat HERE, HERE, and HERE. We used clothespins and a chicken wire frame for the sample headbands – AND all the other headbands can be added to the frame as they are made.

Be sure to plug in the hot glue gun just before the baby shower starts so it’s ready to go when the guests get in headband making mode.
